RE: Inflated awards. Some units inflated awards. Others did not. Your assumption that his BSM is worthless... Correction, his TWO BSMs are worthless, is an assumption, and nothing more. An assumption made because you have TDS and if Trump nominated him, he MUST be bad. You are denigrating the service of a guy who not only served, but deployed to combat - TWICE. And for at least one of these deployments, he VOLUNTEERED. You talk about respect earned not given, well that right there is worthy of respect.

RE: MAGA. I am not a MAGA guy. I despise Trump. Never voted for him, never will. But 1) Just because Trump nominated the dude does not mean I automatically hate him, and 2) Even if I did, facts still matter. Your dismissal and attack of his record is factually inaccurate, so yes, I will correct your inaccurate portrayal. So hows about quit deciding that what this one dude who I don't even know, let alone associate with, did to you four years ago should determine how you interact with me? I have NEVER been disrespectful of YOU. I have been disrespectful of your OPINIONS and your STATEMENTS plenty of times. But never of YOU. Yet you are CONTINUOUSLY disrespectful of me.

RE: Germs. How does that affect his capability to lead? Seriously. This is the most asinine "I must find a reason to hate" thing I have seen. Is it disgusting? Sure. Will I sanitize my hands after shaking his? Sure. But THIS is what makes him unfit? You have got to be kidding me.

RE: Downvotes. You are literally the only person I see who downvotes just because you disagree. I have seen many of your downvotes. They are not because of WHAT you said, they are because of HOW you said it. You are combative and belligerent and very VERY often disrespectful. You are, quite often, a bullying asshole, at least on this site. THAT is why you get downvoted, not because you say things people disagree with. OR because you go downvote happy and people retaliate. Note that I STILL have not downvoted you on this thread despite my VERY strong disagreement with what you have said. And despite your blatant disrespect to at least three separate servicemembers / veterans.

RE: Respect given not earned. I am really sorry you feel that way. I understand it. But the assumption this site runs under is that ALL of our members who are serving or have served HAVE earned a basic level of respect through the very act of having served. How about starting there?

As a final note, often in life, you get what you give. I have seen countless threads where you initiate combativeness, and then escalate and disrespect everyone, and their mother. And then when people retaliate you find proof that those folks don't respect you. I know you won't listen because you have determined that I am a worthless human being who is only worthy of ridicule and anything I say MUST be dismissed, if not outright attacked, but..... I think you would benefit from Anger Management. I am not saying this snidely or to belittle you, but in an earnest effort to aid a fellow veteran have a better life down the road. I have had my own struggles with anger, and I am still not perfect. And I went to Anger Management kicking and screaming and saying I did not have a problem. But it helped. I can honestly say my life is better for having gone.
