When you spend your career learning to kill, or preparing to die, it takes a toll on you. I wish it didn't, but it does. Some can't handle it. I wish they all could have chosen life over the demons winning.

Just as an additional comment, the MOS's shown have a training and deployment schedule that can be hard on marriages. The suicide rate for Divorced Men is 9 1/2 times Divorced women. How much of Military suicides are divorce driven instead of combat driven? There is a VA study on the subject, but IMO it was whitewashed to down play male suicides and over-emphasizing suicides in women. https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/acquainted-the-night/201906/divorce-is-risk-factor-suicide-especially-men
Divorce Is a Risk Factor for Suicide, Especially for Men
Why are divorced men more likely to die by suicide than divorced women?

NEWS UP DATE{Oil giant CHEVRON, has just announced that the headquarters in California will move to TEXAS. I can think that the oil company is either betting on Trump winning, in NOVEMBER, or should KACKLES win , then the company will be in a better location, Should TRUMP be ASSINSSINATED, or lose the contest.

CPT Lawrence Cable i seen this too many times with younger soldiers and marrying (women they barely know) they are deployed and find out their wife/husband is sleeping with someone. It's extremely sad that individuals now a days don't understand not only are you marrying a military man; you are marrying them plus the promise of their life to the United States...

Bethina Lee - The situation in the civilian world isn't much better. When I was growing up, divorce was usually the last resort for infidelity of one of the partners. Since "no fault' divorce tends to be the rule these days, I've too often heard wives saying stuff that they just didn't feel fulfilled, etc. Divorce courts are horrible on men, custody is almost impossible unless your wife is in Prison, there is generally little consequences for the women if they don't follow custody agreements and every time the Husband is back in court, it cost him money. Too often they are isolated and alienated from their children leaving them alone and often with financial hardship from the breakup. Alone and broke is not a good place to be.

Struggling with demons can be a tough, they live with you and you develop thought patterns. Thinking about survival, thinking about mistakes. Losing your edge. Etc. A philosophy professor had a sign in his office “ The I examined life isn’t worth living”. The over examined life that highlights mistakes can destroy you. The antidote is a knowledge that Jesus loves you and died for you, just as your are!

LTC Joe Anderson I have seen so many people..pastors, fathers, religious leaders, etc...take one stinking verse out of a whole chapter (totally ignoring the entire story) and twist that verse to their needs, sermon, uses, etc..you don't see the whole story/chapter of what the lesson really is...but the church has been doing this since the 2od century...from the Council of Nice & Worms, to rewriting and editing the Bible, etc...but, none takes that into consideration. They "Trust" that those individuals edited the Bible and placed the most pertinent information that they thought we needed. Especially when the Bible was translated into actual interpretable languages...they thought it was blasphemous and the world was going to end. But only 8% to 15% of the population could read; what can do?

I had 2 of my Brothers enlisted while married. They both kept their marriages together, however, it was a strain. WE have heard the song, " I need YOU now", I leaned from their experiences, & remained single while on DUTY! Never regretted it, I thot it was too much for the Wife.

It really sucks, because it all eventually gets to you. Then the isolation, not wanting to do your job everyday day, it's an extreme uphill battle everyday for some ppl. The inner fight while keeping that mask on "Yeh I'm fine, nothing wrong" because of the severe medical reactions you get for even voicing your thoughts. Not to mention a possible medical discharge...this is where individuals are not educated enough in knowing the difference between actual Suicidal thoughts and the actual planning stages. Basically if you're already planning your suicide, get help NOW! If it's a thought that keeps coming up in your head...that is something completely different and can be worked with in his therapy alone. The therapists are trained to keep a close eye on ppl...
If the doctor or therapist takes extreme measures immediately, voice your thoughts and objections. They are going off information you are feeing them..strongly object, tell them you're not going to take a particular medication anymore because it's a waste of your time, money, and their time. They cannot help you unless you're extremely clear & concise with your communication. After all doctors are just scientist going off of information that you are feeding them about medications do to you. And the blunt honesty truth..don't be afraid to walk them into a corner, pin them down, the interrogate them with tons of questions
