They don't have the ability to go the distance; they are more expensive to run and maintain than gas vehicles.

I started with a Civic Hybrid in 2004, but quickly discovered the Honda solution was not nearly as good as the Toyota version. I had a Prius C for five years--until it was totaled when a drunk in a pickup rear ended my wife. We replaced it with a 2015 full-size Prius that we still drive today . . .
