In general VTOL Aircraft are slower and more easily defeated than conventional aircraft so I am wondering what advantages they may have in a Combat environment. Delivery of munitions or supplies?

I know the Air Force fighter Jocks are going to hate my comment, but it is just my opinion; and you all know about those, and elbows. When I got my Pilot License the first iteration of “fly by wire” was in the works by the Spooks out at the Skunk Works. That Research led to some rather robust “Drone” studies. And I wondered, back then, if we developed a good enough Computer System, why we put a person on those planes. Human’s can take only 10 G’s or so. The plane we have already can take way more abuse than that, if they didn’t have to worry about a fragile human inside.
Oh I know computers fail, and systems get gremlins, and every once in a while a Human can read the situation better…but that gap is getting smaller and smaller. And we forget to mention how many times:” Human Error” caused whatever accident or event.
So I think the future of Warfare, especially in the Air - is going to be fully mechanized, computerized, and Ai run. So there is my totally ignorant opinion.
