The old Hard Rock Hotel and Casino closed in the 2010s. The original is now Virgin Hotel Vegas. Hard Rock Cafe's parent company now owns the Mirage and plans to convert it into a replacement Hard Rock casino.

First the Tropicana and now the Mirage. Vegas does not embrace anything historical. The Tropicana was one of the very first Casinos to be built on the south side of the strip and now we are getting another reject California Team here. MGM owned the Mirage for many years and must of sold to trim the fat per se. MGM owns almost half of the strip as it is.
