They may not have the physical strength of men in general, but to learn to shoot accurately, move as a unit effectively, and handle stress of Combat they can be just as effective. Plus women in general offer a smaller target for the enemy so that could be a positive.

When I enlisted, in the late 70's, the Air Force was heavily recruiting women for aircraft maintenance. Put 'em through tech school, got to their first permanent stations, and could not manage their tool kits. Too heavy. Me, I grew up helping on carpentry projects, pretty vigorous, but I went into transportation. Slung 70lb hold baggage alongside the men, but that was me. Until/unless those metal frames are standard equipment, most women are simply not up to the demands of combat.
