Good! Let’s hope the insurrection participants face trial.

Side note: Republicans wanted to release footage, but blur faces. They could not get it both ways and some arrests may be from others belatedly being identified.

Insurrection (Merriam Websters)
in·sur·rec·tion ˌin(t)-sə-ˈrek-shən
: an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government

revolt (Merriam Websters)
re·volt ri-ˈvōlt
: to renounce allegiance or subjection (as to a government)
: a renouncing of allegiance (as to a government or party)

Did they renounce allegiance to the US Government? If not, then based on the definitions it cannot be considered a revolt and if it cannot be considered a revolt then by definition it cannot be considered an insurrection.

By definition what our founding fathers did was an insurrection.

LTC Chu, respectfully, for there to be "insurrection participants," there first needs to be an insurrection, which there was not. Not one person apprehended was indicted, charged, tried or convicted of insurrection, and the US Supreme Court has forbidden states from trying to remove former President Trump from federal election ballots for that reason as well. Being held without bail or due process is un-American and against our constitution. The 14th Amendment is being trashed by Sleepy Joe Biden and his weaponization of the Alphabet Soup agencies under his control on a daily basis. It is a disgrace.

LTC Eugene Chu - Apologize for what? Protesting? Is that your position? I'm not talking about those who committed illegal and violent acts. Noting the numbers of people that were there and how many were charged, are you saying they need to charge and arrest every one of the people that showed up?

There is a significant number of people in this country who feel that while nothing has definitely proven an orchestrated election fraud, something stinks. At the time, a number of people wanted to make sure everything was done to confirm that and when to the Capitol to be heard. Most did nothing but protest, but you want them all plastered on videos so that the cancel Police can attempt to ruin their lives.

To this day even I think something nefarious happened during the last election. It might not have been planned, surrogates may have managed to hide behind things like COVID rules and such, but the numbers make no sense to me. However, unlike you, I've moved on, as there is nothing I can offer to prove it, and I only want to make sure we do not allow the same to happen again.

I will not apologize for that, and I do not expect or desire that anyone who felt something wrong happened during the election apologize. I was not there, nor did I have the desire to be there. I certainly would not have entered the Capitol had I been there, but that appears not to matter to you. Based on your premise, any support of Trump must be ended and apologized for. I don't accept that and I'm not even a fan of Trump to begin with. But I'll be damned if I'm going to agree with your highly partisan, destructive, divisive, and dangerous points. You think Trump is bad for American when it is actually positions like yours that are hurting this country. Stop using the work insurrection. It was not officially labeled as such, no one was charged/convicted for that, and you obviously have no idea what one actually looks like.

Wish it was a real trial. They would all be free.
