Turing was a homosexual who worked n cryptography during WWII and helped break the German enigma code system. After WWII The British government gave Turing the choice of prison or chemical castration. He underwent chemical treatment. Turing died of poisoning and it was ruled suicide. Further investigations considered the poisoning may have been accidental. The British government issued an apology for the way Turing was treated.
