At my last assignment, I partnered with SSG Leonard Ricketts. Rick had served in Tehran before the fall of the Shah. He said it was a great assignment and he really liked the Iranian people. He could just not comprehend how they had supported the Ayatollah and the radicals that took over. He said the revolution set Iran back a thousand years.
