My father's parents planned to visit from back East in 1952, but only if we had a television so Grandma could watch Elizabeth's coronation. So, one day my sister and I got home from school and the appliance store people were installing it. Imagine our excitement. Thank you your Highness; I still have the TV.

CPL Douglas Chrysler But, does the TV still work? Well, come on anyways since the reassigned the frequencies TV broadcast on. I have a 1946 Admiral from the wife's grandfather and it was still working when they did the change. (I used to service TV's, VCR's and camcorders).

SPC (Join to see) - The collapse of the consumer electronics repair industry due to low prices is what drove me back into teaching. I have to admit, I was bitter about it at the time but like everything else, it somehow works out in the end and turned out to be a good thing.
