In general priority bacteria are already becoming more resistant to antibiotics so new drugs and approaches to mitigating bacterial infections should be at the top of the list when it come to research. I see a a future were UV-light is integrated into homes and urban environments and mass transit where areas are bathed in UV light as well there are ozone and oxidation therapies.

Ozone is also used to deodorize areas - the only problem is the levels of ozone needed pose a health risk.

However seems we should design products that can withstand ozone and UV light especially related to medical applications so they can be routinely sterilized in a safe way with minimal degradation.
