This author seems to believe that adults hold sway over what children believe. I believe that the peer group is far more influential.
"What do you want to be when you grow up?" We all grew up with that question. Every child has heard it countless times despite the fact that none have a clue of how to answer it. Most respond with some passing fancy, most often gleaned from their impression of how their peers are responding. It's called peer pressure and there are many manipulating peer pressure as a means to an end. Once upon a time, those suffering gender dysphoria kept it to themselves. They wouldn't want others to suffer as they were. Something has changed, hasn't it?

Yes there has been a change. We are not killed when people found out. We are not being thrown into the street as children when the issue arises. In fact its safer to come out now then in 50's,60's,70's,80's,90's,00's.

I think the real impetus for all this has been the education and medical establishments. We've been taught to listen, learn, and respect those two professions and they've pushed this ad nauseum.

Ahh the English version of the Jerry Springer show but dumbed down. The author is a quack.
Now I will admit as a Trans individual we do have an agenda.
1. End the Pink Tax.
2. Lower tariff rates on female clothing as they are higher than male clothing.
3.Equal Pay.
4. Pockets in our Jeans.
5. Standard sizing in women's shoes and clothing. One designer's size 6 is another designers size 10.
