Transgender women taking gender-affirming hormones like estrogen are up to 95% more likely to suffer from heart disease compared to cisgender men. A study published in the European Journal of Endocrinology showed that all trans people were at a “significantly higher risk” of a host of serious and potentially deadly medical conditions, including heart attacks and strokes. Transgender women taking estrogen had a 93% increased risk of heart problems versus control men, and a 73% higher risk when measured against control women. Transgender men taking testosterone had a 2.2 times increased risk of cardiovascular ailments compared with control men, and a 63% increased risk compared with control women.

Our bodies are designed to function with a certain level of various chemicals depending if you are XX, or XY. Men need higher levels of testosterone, women need estrogen and progesterone in varying levels etc.. I often think of this as a machine. Sure you can run low octane pump gas with no engine cleaning additives in a high end sports car but you shorten the life of the vehicle. We are high end sports cars tuned over a million years or so. Changing our chemical balance too suit a crazy notion reduces our life.

Great analogy until last sentence. It may be cray to some but desired by others. Heck think people wo love sushi are crazy, but until now, keep it to myself

I wonder how many were aware of the risks prior to taking these hormones ? I would think that medical ethics would at least advise them of potential risks as with any other medications or substances introduced into their bodies. Unintended side effects of any medication should be a concern although it doesn't seem clear how many may have actually died from taking this substance It doesn't sound like all this information is all that well confirmed either and not well beyond just speculation as to possible deaths.
