What does the US have that no other "developed" country has?

When was the US "great?" Please tell me what time period in history it is the US was so great that you want to go back to. That you idolize.

What are we the best at? Spending more on defense than any other country but yet our biggest threat comes from within with homegrown extremist groups? Or spending the most on healthcare but we have the worst system. The most firearms deaths? Exporting the most arms?

We have the highest maternal mortality rate of any "developed" nations. Also high infant mortality rate. We're behind in education. We don't lead in starting businesses. 47th in press freedom. Don't lead in economic freedom. Don't lead in vaccinating kids. We're not the greatest at anything that actually matters.
The US is nothing more than a third world country wearing a Gucci belt. We try to dress ourselves up in expensive things to look like we're better but we aren't.
