West Point time capsule reveals Jefferson Davis voted "Most Likely To Split Nation In Two"

In his farewell address to the United States when his state susceeded from the Union, he couldn't stress enough how sorry he was to see the country split.

"Fellow cadets in the Class of 1828 voted Davis as 'Most Likely to Defile His Commission in a Mad Quest to Sunder the United States so His Family Might Continue to Buy and Sell Human Beings.' "
That says a lot about the caliber of cadets (and instructors) at West Point in those years.

Oops! Looks like I was fooled by DuffleBlog. Oh, well. Wondering what the cadets did think about slavery.
