Tillis, Blumenthal Lead Bipartisan Legislation to Provide Service Dogs to Eligible Veterans

A bipartisan group of Senators recently introduced the Service Dogs Assisting Veterans (SAVES) Act, which would establish a program to award grants to nonprofit organizations to assist their programs providing service dogs to veterans. The legislation builds on the Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers (PAWS) for Veterans Therapy Act that was signed into law in 2021.
