A convicted Capitol rioter may soon see his prison sentence more than quadruple thanks to a courtroom tirade he delivered against prosecuting attorneys.

In a new filing flagged by CBS News reporter Scott MacFarlane, prosecutors say that MAGA rioter Frank Giustino should have his recommended prison sentence raised from just three weeks to four months due to the total lack of remorse he has shown for his actions.

Prosecutors based this claim on Giustino's most recent courtroom appearance in which he demonstrated "no remorse for his conduct on January 6" and instead presented "himself as the victim," all the while referring to "the prosecution as a 'clown show' and a 'nuisance.'"

"Giustino’s behavior in Court further evinces his belief that the attack on the Capitol was righteous... necessitating a sentence that will deter him from similar conduct," prosecutors argue.
