I don't know how we will ever stop this scourge. Too many people want to blot out reality in some manner or form.

As long as there is a market for illegal drugs in the US there will be someone who will supply them, we need to clean up the US first. Where to start is the golden ticket.

The ground floor.

Without a successful childhood, it's difficult for a person to go on to lead a healthy, productive lifestyle.

We need to clean up the water infrastructure so that kids aren't being poisoned just by drinking water. We need to clamp down on processed foods to get at least to where the food systems of the least-healthy of the countries with healthier populations are in terms of inclusion of chemicals and highly-refined ingredients in foods. We need to clean up the air and transportation systems so that kids aren't sucking in diesel while on the way to school. We need to add diet education in schools.

It starts in childhood. If we focused as much on preparing children for a successful life as we do on protecting billionaires' fortunes then we'd probably get somewhere.

From the article
Americans continue to overdose on illicit fentanyl despite increased seizures of the drug coming north from Mexico.
Increased seizures are not an indication on how much is stopped. Pretty sure the cartels that are run like a business know there is shrinkage (theft in a store but for here loss due to seizure). The plan it. Therefore increased seizures actually indicate increased amounts coming across the border. Not an actual lowing of that amount. Interesting article. Thanks for the share LTC Eugene Chu.
