Maj Kim Patterson Abd for Over Four Years I defended our Constitution, Country, and Not too many benefits, it’s just weird to not have a name to claim you was there, a little honor if I may coin a phrase

I was in grade school, 11th grade while Vienam was about to come to a end but not knowing it was to end, on the draft, And Still had to finish the 12 th Grade and entering the DEP - Delay Enlistment Program, and having the Congress enact a law to Officially end the war/campaign, I got caught in that 5-7 week gap and no war to name, but going in to relieve those wanting to come home

I spent 18 months over there, as what the combat types refer to as a REMF. Always on a base, turning wrenches on helicopters. 20 years old when I came home.
Yeah, it's still with me.
