What in God's name does that thing eat? Deer that come down to the lake to drink?

Same kind of thing at the Keystone Dam in Oklahoma. Everything is brought right to them, no one can get them, so they just get bigger and bigger. Wonder if that is some of the things that caused legends of "River Dragons"?

SGT Tiffanie G. - I used to dive and I've seen some big Catfish, but nothing that I thought I should be scared of attacking me. If you saw the big Blue Catfish in the picture above in the water, it's pretty huge looking, and the largest one officially recorded (not caught on rod and reel) was 147 LB.
These are scarier, but they don't feed on anything as large as a human. https://roaring.earth/biggest-alligator-gar-record/

CPT Lawrence Cable - Yes! Alligator Gar are scary even at smaller sizes! My hubby has only caught bass, walleye, drumhead, trout, and then little pan fish like sun fish and blue gill. That is plenty big enough for me!

That is the stuff of nightmares. I would have gone all 'Troy Landry' on it. "Choot 'em!"
