I find it interesting that the leaders of the Jan 6 committee didn’t allow Republicans to choose their members on the committee which violated established protocol. Hear say evidence was presented. No Trump didn’t grab the steering wheel of the beast. A TV news editor was hired to edit the tapes to present a certain “ story”. There was no effort to find or present the truth by the committee.

A few simple questions should be answered to get things started. Why did they choose to use the small clip of Sen Hawley catching up with the rest of the Senators being escorted out for their safety? Yes, Sen Hawley supported the folks outside who were protesting the results of the election. One would expect him to show solidarity with the people outside who at the time were not committing violence and were depending on him to use the means at his disposal to challenge the results. But no, the portrayal made it seem like he was raising his fist to them as some were breaking through doors inside the Capitol. So, the next question is, why did they not show the context along with the first few seconds depicting all of the Senators being led out of the chamber. Just like people are likely to speculate Sen Hawley was running scared, when you look at the shorter video, one can also speculate why he was running when you look at the additional context. So, this leads me to think the smaller clip was used with a purpose. To simply tarnish Sen Hawley and tie him to inciting the riot.

I agree and when I watch these clips from Tucker, I am looking for additional political biases and selective information/context. But Tucker went as far as to show what the other side showed initially and then the additional context. Take the Sen Hawley clip for example in which he was depicted as running away in a very short clip offered by the committee, followed up by the Democrats making claims he not only was responsible for organizing this violence, but that he ran from it when it got out of control. They neglected to show the part where several, if not all of the Senators being lead quickly out of the chamber, with Sen Hawley following behind.

Now, if there is additional context which the Democrats can provide to support the claims, that he organized the violence and he ran scared vs catching up with the escorts, leading them for his and his peer's safety, the ball is in their court to produce it. Otherwise, those Democrats are no better than what they have accused the Congressional Republicans of doing. Same goes for the accusations of recon made against Rep Barry Loudermilk.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin - Regarding Hawley, I haven't heard anyone say that "he organized the violence". I've heard them say that he was supportive of their perspective, but not that he organized anything.

LTC Kevin B. would you prefer “after he helped to riled up”? This was selective, deceptive, and on purpose.
