My mother's oldest sister - Clementine - enlisted in '42, discharged in '44. Went back to work just about the next day as a civilian in the very same job. She remained in civil service thru the mid-60s, and is largely responsible for my joining - and staying in the Army. Quite the woman.

Thank you SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL, for sharing the History of Women in the Military... Lord knows that during wartime, women play a big part in contributing to the success of our engagements and without them, we would be hard pressed to survive and conquer... Excellent video share Brother!

I am proud that my wife was a member of the Women's Army Corps (WACs) when we met and married.
Her service:
Ft McClellan, AL - basic training
Ft Gordon, Ag - Signal School
Ent AFB - Commo
Ft Ord, CA - Personnel School
Ft Sam Housten, TX - Personnel clerk
Ft Carson, CO - Personnel clerk.
