The last Platters Tribute song in my Music Interlude today is titled "Only You" and it is a great one from the past!
The Platters were one of the most successful vocal groups of all time, with 40 charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart between 1955 and 1967, including four No. 1 hits.
Only You (And You Alone) held strong in the number-one position on the U.S. R & B charts for seven weeks, and hit number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it remained for 30 weeks.
This performance was recorded live at Little Darlin's Rock 'n' Roll Palace, in Kissimmee, Florida.
I hope you enjoy it and I wish you all a great Wednesday afternoon!
Kerry
