It's failed in that we don't lock people up anymore for violent crime. It's failed in the inability to take mentally unstable people off the streets and put them in a long term care facility. It's failed in school protection because unions don't want to see guns in their law enforcements hands.
It's failed because of leftist ideology. Guns don't kill people randomly. There is a loose nut behind the trigger in 99.9% of mass shootings.

I still remember bringing guns to wood shop to make a new stock. We had knives in our pockets and there was no problems. Things were handled in house. If you had a bully, you kicked the shit out of him and he never messed with you again. Now these zeros want somebody to notice them And see how tough they are. I might be an asshole but when the little bastards pull something like this and Blow their own cowardly ass away they should toss them to the damn hogs. Let’s see another one step up for that recognition.
