Finland’s parliament on Wednesday overwhelmingly backed its bid to join NATO, the assembly’s speaker said.
Approval of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s treaties and Finland’s accession passed with 184 members of the 200-seat parliament voting in favour, seven against and one abstaining.
In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a year ago, Finland last May applied to join NATO, having until now relied solely on its own armed forces to defend the 800 mile border it shares with Russia.

NATO must be strong against the few who use aggression to invade other nation states.

Let us not forget that Finland was part of Russia until the Russian revolution. Russia fought Finland for 3 months before they had a peace deal and Finland killed over 126,000 Russian soldiers. I know they had a sniper that killed over 500 of their men. If Russia decides to be stupid like it probably will and get us into World War 3, Finland will definitely Fight Hard!
