An interesting approach that borders on socialism. I suspect they will find out there is more to it than they think. It will still be a company with start up costs, payroll costs, maintenance and sufficient profit to invest for the future.

Instead of "socialism", a better comparison is commercial stores vs. PX. Instead of only for-profit private options, a public option is also available for competition.
