Good friends are truly a blessing. I’m fortunate to have several, but one in particular I see every day. We share meals and scotch whisky several times each week. We’re the same age and our wives are also the same age: we’re both eleven years older than our ladies. He’s the best friend I’ve ever had, a retired Texas Ranger. We live only a block apart and attend the same Methodist church.
