VA Wants Vets to Use Their Benefits When Choosing a Final Resting Place

The key is the definition of "Vet" for this benefit. It does not apply to 'everyone' who was in the military and like other VA benefits, you must meet the eligibility requirements*.
I recently went though something along these lines with a family member. What I found out is that many of the funeral directors are versed in veteran's burial benefits (makes sense), but may not be aware that the individual is eligible for them (it's that 3rd set of requirements* that can throw you if you're not receiving disability)
