At this time, the provision is applicable to Regular Army Soldiers only. I engaged DCS G-1 to see if they plan to retroactively allow AGRs to partake in this pilot program. I figured it's worth a shot and I'll report when I receive an answer.

Is this something people have been asking for or just something the Army thought was a good idea? I think it's good as long as you have buy in from the SM

It's a mixture of both. I think it's beneficial to the Army from a PCS standpoint and the Soldier from a transition standpoint. Let's see what happens!
