12 man teams have worked well since 1952. SF has always exceeded the expectations of commanders irrespective of the situation presented. the 12 man team allows redundancy in all essential skill sets and leaves a very small foot print for the enemy to detect. A 16 man SFOD-A may not sound like much of a change, but it's a 25% increase in team size that IMHO leads to a 25% increase in possible detection.
These 'leaders' in our armed forces need to stop tinkering with everything. The current team size already works well.
