OK, Now I'm going to have to buy a new long gun. I have a Ruger SR10 and as they mention in the article it's a heavy beast. I will be going to my arms dealer in early January to put my hands on one of these. Maybe I can get my son to give up his AK.

In my opinion the SFAR .308 will make precision firing for the smaller individual (its intended audience) a much harder proposition. The extra recoil is roughly 138% more than that felt with the M1A. Compared to the normal, but heavier at 9.9 pounds average Springfield M1A .308 rifle, the lighter SFAR rifle, weighing at 6.8 pounds, has the much bigger kick.
