The same economists who are telling us that we don't know what a recession is (as President Clinton once told us that we don't know what "is") and that inflation isn't all that bad, are now telling us, "Fear not! We've seen a 'Golden Cross'."
"What the hell is a 'Golden Cross'," I hear you cry.
Fear not! I have the answer thoughtfully provided by Wikipedia's brother, Investopedia.
I wonder when economists will take a hint from meteorologists who figured out that there's more to weather forecasting than what they know and now temper their forecasts with percentages. Wouldn't it be nice if economists would simply follow that example and report, "There's a 50% chance of another Great Depression beginning tomorrow"?

This is the type of "stuff" that has kept me from wanting to learn anything about economics. Lol.
Is there something more to it then predicting how people spend will spend their money?
The 50% chance is always a good bet about anything with so many variable it isn't reliably predictable!
