Special Forces Fight for their Lives - The Deadly Tongo Tongo Ambush

There are several errors of fact associated with the background information presented in this YouTube video. Irrespective, they have little bearing regarding my comments. First and foremost, the USAF MG probably had little or no experience with the hazards associated with small unit ground operations (if he was a PJ, Air Commando, or CCT member, please correct me).
Secondly while the MG was relived for cause, the middle management between him and the SFODA commander remained untouched. These middle men were most likely at greater fault than the MG, remain in the service to wreak additional havoc and potentially leading to more unnecessary deaths for our soldiers. I have no idea what decisions were made by the ODA commander, or why. Lastly the KIA soldiers were under-decorated for having given their lives in such a one sided fight. At the very least, there should have been 2 Silver Stars, and 2 DSC's awarded (IMHO). The investigators commented far too much about paperwork errors, and not enough about command ineptitude and errors. These men were killed not because the paperwork was wrong, but because the decisions were wrong. I believe that the concept of "jointness" needs to be revisited. Any system which permits an F-15 driver to make command decisions for special operations forces, especially if he has -ZERO- trigger time in these operations is faulty.
