In order to do this comments from the President at the time, the JCS, and leadership at Ft. Hood has to be walked back. Obama isn't going to correct his remarks, nor any of the Generals.
Two things for the record: First, I will gladly push the button, pull the lever, fire the bullet or however Hasan is to die Free of charge.
Second, I was friends with MAJ Libardo Caraveo, one of the Soldiers killed that day. A finer, "much better human being than I'll ever be" of a man. He is one of my best memories of serving with JTF-GTMO in 2004-2005.
