She does not appear to be comfortable in this role. She seems to be bracing in answering the questions?

As a PA person, you are seldom the only one to have input or over-reach in respect to the information. Still, she is terrible at relating that information to the public.

She is having a tough time in this role, which is harder than it seems. It looks easy.
.But, having a role in speaking on behalf of others, can be a no win situation. Some say, if you are looking for a friend in Washington. That you should get a pet!

Look, I get that the President's press secretary is meant to be a cheerleader for the President's policies and actions. It's not a job I desire in the least, to have to figure out a way to put a positive spin on decisions and actions which may not make sense to the American people. But the expectation of our media, including the press secretary, is to tell the truth. She's simply not doing that.
Instead of "no one is simply crossing the border" and "the border is secure," try:
"Yes we have a border issue, but we're doing X to solve that problem and it is our belief that the previous actions by former Presidents don't work because..."
Instead of "there isn't a recession and gas prices are lower than last month," (ignoring where they were when Biden took office), try:
"Yes, we are undergoing nearly unprecedented high prices in food, gas, etc, but we are doing Y to resolve the problem which will take time before we start experiencing noticeable changes."
The American people are not all dumb and almost all can see the immediate effect of rising prices and pictures of people crossing the border unfettered. The President needs to be straight with us, through his press secretary, vs telling us it's not true.
