There it is ladies and gentlemen, not only is this a highly charged and elitist statement, but what she is suggesting is in fact illegal.
Speaker Pelosi - "We have a shortage of workers in our country, and you see even in Florida, some of the farmers and the growers saying, 'Why are you shipping these immigrants up North? We need them to pick the crops down here,'" she said.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) is a federal law that prohibits businesses from knowingly engaging in illegal activities, such as:
1. Hiring undocumented immigrants
2. Recruiting undocumented immigrants
3. Referring illegal aliens to work in the United States
These laws also make it a crime to hire a general contractor who employs undocumented immigrants. By hiring an undocumented immigrant, you are putting yourself in a position to face severe criminal and civil punishments.

If you let them speak, people will show you the inside of their hearts.
We need to secure the border.
Reinstitute the bracero program.
Have ICE conduct random sweeps of businesses. Illegals deposited into the interminable deportation proceedings. Management - from line sprv to CEO - lengthy jail sentences. They will stop hiring. Illegals will go home.

I’ll take that question on… it’s called secure the border, fix immigration laws, and then you can increase numbers for work visas, citizenship, legal immigration, etc to fill the areas in where labor is needed. Without automatically assuming those coming from the south only want to be field workers, restaurant staff, or housekeepers. This is not only presumptuous and elitist, but also crossing the racist bar as well.

It is a living wage for illegals we have migrant camps, child care, and some of them are even unionized. It is a tough life and those with children are willing to pay that price so there children can have schooling and a path to a better life as US citizens. And those parents our happy to do all they can for there children.They paid the price of admission! I’m happy to know Ppl with the spine/fortitude to achieve there dreams. And the work ethic and dedication there children have to succeed in life is wonderful to see. When you earn something it has VALUE and gives Ppl a sense of pride. Handouts require more handouts and a lose of pride and self worth.
