I own very small amounts of cryptocurrency and acknowledge that it is risky. It is similar to the dot com transition of business in the early 2000s. A few coins will become wildly popular while others will collapse.

A good start point that I use when I invest in crypto is to ask, "How will this crypto help the modern world?" If what I am looking at doesn't have a strong use case and a team with reliable credentials, I tend to steer clear of it. Like you, I think only a small percentage of existing cryptos will survive the test of time. Disclaimer: I'm not a financial advisor and I don't provide financial advice. I am just sharing my digital perspectives.

You have a point. From a lay/novice perspective, there is a use for BitCoin and Ether as forms of financial transaction. Other coins appear to be for speculation than functionality.

LTC Eugene Chu - I can see BTC eventually becoming a store of value versus a payment rail. It takes a long time for a BTC transaction to validate and pay out. ETH can work but it is too expensive from a gas fee standpoint and not as fast as XLM (Stellar Lumens) which can knock out a transaction in a split second with a .00001 transaction fee. The two financial tokens I am long on are XRP (interbank settlements) and XLM (peer-to-peer settlements) because I think they are already working with the IMF and central banks across the world to develop a more effective payment rail. Gone will be the era of waiting for a bank to transfer funds in 3-5 business days because XRP will help settle transactions in a split second and at a fraction of the cost. Effectively opening up more liquidity and reducing held funds. Hope that makes sense. Another token I am long on is VeChain VET because it's a supply chain crypto that's actively being used by fortune 500 companies. These amongst others I have not mentioned seem to be the best bang for the buck for me.
