Digital file storage is where it's at at this time in recorded History... Like it or not! Having said that it is important that there is a primary database file for a given location as well as a backup of same... Even the Veterans Administration's medical health systems file system is a digital one... My HealthEVet System is one I use regularly for data on my overall and detailed health records... Excellent in my view... Staff will need retraining into more sophisticated jobs associated with the digital filing system! It is no longer for future consideration, it is operational now!

I don't understand the stress. The Military Healthcare System has had electronic medical records for close to 20 years so vets should be used to it. In fact locally we're converting to a system called MHS Genesis this week that replaces TRICARE Online communications with our providers. The VA needs to come into the current age.
