I grew up in Ashland. I remember the official sign at the city edge proclaimed Ashland to be a "Sunset City, though I didn't know at the time what that meant. Blacks were not allowed in certain cafes and restaurants. One of which my mom worked in. One afternoon a black man walked in and sat at a table. She took his order and served him, ignoring the manager. Funny thing is that until her dying day she was prejudiced against Hispanics, even though my closest friend was Hispanic, and several of our neighbors were also. I hung out at all of their houses, much to her dismay.

After living in Oregon for 21 of my 61 years in basically a lily-white State and having first-hand experience in seeing how African Americans get in every corner of the State, I can attest that all flavors politically, religiously, economically; basically every group of Oregonians are unabashedly racist, including the far-left Libs who will deny until the day they die.
