What do you think of the ZOV Memoir?
The ZOV Memoir was written by Pavel Filatyev, a Russian Paratrooper with the 56th Guards Air Assault Regiment stationed in Crimea who fought in the Russo-Ukrainian War.
In it he discusses his experiences and point of view regarding the war and the condition of the Russian troops.
He explains how they were offered pay to be in Ukraine but then only received half. Discusses how there were no front line rotations, poor logistics, poor living conditions, looting and theft by fellow Soldiers. Crimes committed, lack of communication, poor leadership, and the condition of Ukrainian Civilians and other commentary.
The written work is 140/141 pages long depending on the translation, after Filatyev released it online he fled Russian territory.
