We've gotten to the point that the majority of Republicans will never vote for anything good for America simply because it's proposed by Democrats. Now if the Republicans could just propose some counter legislation perhaps we could get the legitimate debate that the Founding Fathers intended, but I honestly can't think of anything that they've proposed recently.

It's amazing to me how the Republicans can get in their own way. You have to give it to the Democrats, the leaders can make a strategy or talking point and the rank and file follow like lemmings. Have a great weekend.

Pure BS! Nearly all spending bills have had Republican votes. Not that it really matters, since the Democrats control Congress an the WH. There was a time when a single Republican vote with Dems was considered bipartisan. You on the left, with snow on the roof are destroying our countries future. Our progeny will curse us when their standard of living was damaged for current political gain.

So glad MCPO Collins blocked me. I got nothing but a profanity laced response for him. Ugh. Yeah GOP have voted on many spending bills while Dems have a majority cause those bills were as pro corporate and pro wealth as you can get. Same happened under GOP control and corporate centrist Dems voted in favor of bills.
Doesn't change the fact over 100 GOP voted Nay against a pro technology bill to compete with China just to campaign on "owning the Libs". Not that the avg voter will see any immediate impacts; much like the recent Infrastructure bill.

MCPO Roger Collins Well said and the Left IS destroying our Country faster than a nuclear bomb! All they do is attack Trump and the Right but never attack the problems facing America nor create policy to benefit Americans and our Country.
They are Antagonistic and NOT Americanistic.
The guy's post, whom you have rightfully blocked, who has nothing but profanity in his intellect for anyone who doesn't agree with his far left idiology probably has more blocks on RP than LEGO has in their factory.

Thank you my friend SPC Jeff Daley, PhD for posting the background from axios.com on the House Republicans that voted for the PORK laden CHIPS bill -
Ohio, Wisconsin, pipeline will go through West Virginia now, etc.
I am looking forward to the results of the mid-term elections and next January we will see the legislative recommendations from conservatives put forward as legislation by conservative House and Senate leadership and actually being put up for a vote [instead of billing killed in committee when Pelosi was speaker of the House]
It is noteworthy to me that the bulk were from Ohio. "Eight of those Republicans represent Ohio, where Intel has plans to spur massive economic development with a new factory that will be subsidized by the new semiconductor funding. Nine are retiring — including Ohio Reps. Anthony Gonzalez and Bob Gibbs — or have already lost their primaries, freeing them from leadership's discipline.

Bruce, we are in a recession, said over a month ago. They are falling back on the national economic board. All the networks a year ago, defined recession with 2 negative quarters not saying it is not the definition. The data is so skewed now but you can’t get around the reality of retail stocks. The numbers are weird and the number of new jobs that they are taking credit for is the people going back to work. A lot of the work at jobs is phantom. Zuckerburg and Musk have said the employees need to come back to work. Buying habits have changed.
Joe Manchin saved this country from the other bill and did what he needed to be done but he is Traitor Joe. It is dispicable what he did and how he did it. Getting McConnell to agree to sign the chip bill on the basis that the reconciliation bill was dead then it was less than 24 hours the reconciliation bill was back on the table. August 30th the chip bill was going to be squashed.
China owned about 70% of farmland in Mississippi, all that goes back to China. China controls 97% of our pharmaceuticals. The largest pork processing plant. China controls most of all the minerals for chip and solar panel production, it ties into this new chip bill. Taiwan 92% chip production and South Korea 8% of chip production.
Joe Biden has the state of the union address and Intel was in the gallery and that is when he talked about the semiconductor bill. Why are we subsidizing any kind of industry? The chips are critical. The chips are needed to guide the rockets and munitions. China owns grain mills.
China doesn't need tanks and guns to shut us down and cripple us. But most of the Americans run the plants, and it could be a Red Dawn moment and take over the plant.
We can’t even manufacture boots for our military.
Why Manchin made the deal was because he got healthcare and the pipeline. So he sold out the citizens of America.
Did Mitch get rolled? Or did he know what was happening? You think Mitch trusted Schumer enough that he didn’t know what was going on.
Republicans are sitting on their butts for this new election and need to get up.
Joe Manchin said that in order for him to be a part of it they needed to rename their bill because manchin said build back better was dead. The biggest spending and subsidies and taxes are the biggest ever for climate. They are going to make it to where you can afford to get the electric car.
The 15% corporate tax on businesses. They are killing reinvestment. When you hear that corporations don’t pay any tax, what takes the tax away is the depreciation on investments and job creation. It stifles reinvestments. The bill raises taxes. Increases the irs. Incentive for electric vehicles and batteries. Environmental Justice Communities have money allocated.
New stuff coming out on Hunter. There is a bigger picture on this whole charade. If they prosecute Hunter they can say no one is above the law. The president’s son and an ex-president.
Lies from the White House, border is secure, won’t get COVID if boosted, not in recession,. We need to get back to telling the truth.

Background from {[oann.com/senate-passes-chips-act-to-boost-semiconductor-production/}]
The House passed the $280 billion CHIPS Act. All but one Democrat and a cohort of Republicans pushed the legislation through in a 243-to-187 vote on Thursday. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi praised the spending package while claiming it would put taxpayer money towards union jobs and lowering costs.
“Make it in America, as Mr. Hollier would say,” stated Pelosi. “Doing so is an economic imperative creating again nearly 100,000 good paying union jobs and lowering costs for American consumers, while producing a crucial component of nearly every major technology we enjoy.”
The bill provides subsidies to domestic semiconductor manufacturing and invests billions in science and technology to help the US compete on the world stage. Fifty-two billion dollars is set aside specifically for microchip makers in the US to encourage them to build plants in America. However, the total cost of the bill is estimated to balloon up to $280 billion over the next five years.
House Republican leadership attempted to rally against the bill, but to no avail. In the lead up to the vote, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) lambasted the bill as wasteful spending in a time of economic turbulence.
McCarthy said the Senate passed a bill that took a small program and “turned it into a $280 billion blank check.” He added, it includes millions in mandatory spending on corporate welfare for whoever President Biden chooses.
The stated objective of the bill is to jump start American semiconductor production to outpace China and ensure American technological independence should Taiwan fall to the People’s Republic. However, Rep. Adrian Smith (R-Neb.) argued that pork is more prevalent in the bill than resource war logistics.
“Chips are one of 10 sectors where China is seeking to break American dominance,” he noted. “This bill does not address our issues with China and it certainly does not address issues, the other nine issues.”
The legislation moved through the Senate Wednesday and is now headed to President Biden’s desk."

This video will tell you all you need to know about the November 2022 Senate mid-term elections.
We’ve been told for a year now, maybe more, that a Republican “Wave” election is coming in 2022.
Yes, a great mid-term red wave will wash ashore and clear the beach of blue stained sand. We on the right are so excited at this prospect.
But to all you who are so exited, I say to slow our collective roll. This is far from in the bag. We still have a two-front battle on our hands.
First, we must sure up our side. You, me, everyone on the right must be sure of who we support. The time for the endorsement of RINOs because, “they can win” must be over.
