After more than a five-year wait, the Department of Veterans Affairs has a Senate-confirmed official leading its health care operations again.

Lawmakers on Thursday voted 66-23 to confirm Dr. Shereef Elnahal as the next VA under secretary for health.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL I'm anxious to see what improvements this new leader will install into the system. Hopefully reduced wait times to see primary care and specialty doctors will be a priority.

What changes are you looking for? I don’t use them because they are always overloaded and I have other options.

MCPO Roger Collins Well that would be change #1, reduce the overload and wait times. I'm like you, don't use them because have TFL but had many who worked for me that did use it and heard their horror stories.
