It's amazing what comes up on my Google feed since I used to visit Tacoma and Marysville Washington from 2018 to 2021 due to my Army Reserve commitment. This is a Fort that I never went to but some of you may live nearby or visit this fort if you travel this way.

Take short drive across the river into Astoria, Oregon (via the Astoria-Megler Bridge) then turn right and follow the signs to Warrenton, which will get you to Fort Stephens at the mouth of the Columbia River and you can see the Main Batteries that defended the entrance to the river.
