Given the tremendous distance between Mars and the Earth, this is truly amazing as you so stated, Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen! Remote Control wizardry between planets and pretty darn accurate!!! What amazes me more is that this was a concept test with only 5 flights maximum and NASA has done 26 flights!!! The second helicopter to be sent up, (whenever that is) should be mind blowing!!! LOL!

Actually, CPL Douglas Chrysler, the parachute and entry device was designed to only do its main job of carrying the Perseverance Rover and its Helicopter, Ingenuity, safely to the Martian Surface and it completed its task perfectly... Taking photos of the residual delivery mechanisms was frosting on the cake for NASA... Of course we now have left some rubbish on the surface! LOL!
