Once America's largest restaurant chain, last Howard Johnson's closes

My father's name was Howard Johnson, not THE Howard Johnson but never the less there was always the potential for humor wherever we went.
He had a small business and was a member of a local group of small businessmen, The Sertoma Club I think was the name. Anyway they always met at a Chinese Restaurant owned by one of the members, it was only a few blocks from the nearest Howard Johnson's but on the Marquee out front the Chinese Restaurant Owner would change it to read "Howard Johnson eats here" on meeting days.

And no weird coffee.
