Hidden history of the Battle of the Bulge. The British and the Canadians actually helped in containing part of the German offensive in their attempt to recapture Antwerp.
I have included a few pictures of the Sherman Firefly tank in the comments. This tank had a superior main gun compared to the Americans.
The main gun on the Sherman tank and fury did not have the high velocity 17 pounder British Canon on it.

This tank was Superior compared to the one shown in the movie Fury that was commanded by Brad Pitt.

SGT Robert T. McPherson was a part of the Battle of the Bulge. He was very proud of his Scottish ancestry. He always minimized his efforts and never made anything of his Bronze Star. Living through it seemed to be enough for him. One of the prices he paid for being involved with artillery was near total deafness. He was single-handedly responsible for about one third of our membership at our American Legion Post, handled our local advertising and was a big contributor of funds to our Post. He lived to be 94 and died in June of 2021
