From reports of other Air Traffic Controllers in the Sand Box these bad boys were very hard to bring down. I heard of them coming back missing a tail, one engine shot to crap, ailerons missing, etc. but they brought the pilot back. On the converse side I have heard the Pilots laugh about the hurt they could put out for ground support. Hard to get rid of a work horse like that.

Thank goodness...we desperately need the capability of the A-10 to linger time on target. The AF keeps trying to get rid of it; the pilots and troops love it.

Hope they move a squadron or two back to DMAFB. They really irritated Linda Ronstadt, but we enjoyed watching their training flights come through the mountains from our patio.

Fall 2021. BTW, they didn't come from our patio through the mountains. We watched them from our patio as they came back from Goldwater Range across the mountains. Words matter. :-)) :-))
