Marx said religion was the opiate of the masses, keeping the proletariat from realizing the exigency of the revolution. This guy is saying the exact same thing, only framing it as simply a problem with Christianity. He's not calling for the religion to be rejected, per se. He just wants everything important about it ignored to further his Marxist goals.

Marxism and socialism have never been successful. Just look at the Baltic states oh, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania along with most other former Soviet satellite states joined NATO. That's why Ukraine wants to be part of the EU and NATO.

We already had Marxist theology ruining things in Latin America in the 1970s and 80s. I guess I didn't learn anything!
