RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — U.S. service members who are HIV-positive cannot be discharged or barred from becoming an officer solely because they’re infected with the virus, a federal judge in Virginia ruled.
Advocates say it’s one of the strongest rulings in years for people living with HIV.

Better to find out one has it and get treated for HIV before discharge and having to have it treated by the VA after discharge in my view, SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL!

Given the fact that HIV can be controlled and now not measurable in some infected with HIV, this is the right decision
