Thank you my friend MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. for posting perspective from theepochtimes.com author Andres Corr "China seeks to expand its influence and military deployments in the Asia-Pacific islands nearly to the point of making one country, the Solomon Islands, into a vassal state."

From my basis historical analysis,
1. China is trying to do what Japan tried to do in the 1930's an 1940's. Japan wanted to assume the role of the European protectors of island groups and their associated sea lanes [Britain, France, Netherlands] to be the major player in east Asia and the western pacific down through Australia.
2. China's large naval assets are bottled up between Japan, the Philippines and New Guinea/Australia, the South China Sea. China has been fortifying the Spratly Islands for over a decade in part to gain a foothold to leverage their goal of control of the South China sea as an offshore territory [opposed by Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, etc.

Battleground: US, China Compete for the Pacific Islands—With Cleo Paskal

While America is busy elsewhere, China is trying to win over the island nations in the Pacific. From the Solomon Islands to Fiji, these key strategic locations matter. Landing strips, ports, and possible missile sites are what China seeks

Australia worried about China's plans for Solomon Islands
China is planning to set a new military base on the Solomon Islands. Australia is expressing nervousness over the strengthening relations between the nations. China dismisses Canberra's concerns, stating that undermining the collaboration is a doomed to fail.

What’s to stop them? Biden is more beholden to them than he is to Russia.

Indeed it does. They are already telling their people that Hawaii belongs to China. They're also intent on building a major base on Christmas Island--just 1,300 miles south of Honolulu. . . .

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. - Wonderful!... Perhaps they should be reminded of the results of the last empire that tried to take Hawaii and all the Pacific Islands leading to Japan?
